Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create a Google Cloud project?

No. PromptAuth already has its own Google app. Your users see the usual Google sign-in screen, then come back to your app.

What exactly do I get?

Each user's email address, name, photo and a stable ID, in a signed token that your app checks itself with our public keys.

Does it work if my app has no server?

Yes. The prompt uses the PKCE flow, designed for apps that run entirely in the browser (Vite, React…). Apps with a server (Next.js, Express…) also create their own secure session.

How do I pay?

With Mobile Money (M-Pesa, Orange Money, Airtel Money) through SimplyPaye. You confirm the payment on your phone and your plan is active right away, for one year.

What happens if I go over my user limit?

Your existing users keep signing in. Only new sign-ups are blocked until you move up to the next plan.
